The goal of the fablab is to allow users to move from an idea to a concrete object (teaching support, experimental prototype, proof of concept, etc.). Users are trained by the workshop team to use the different machines and tools (3D printer, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, etc.) so that they can make their own object. The fablab advocates Do It Yourself (DIY). Thanks to this method, people become more quickly aware of the errors, difficulties and constraints related to the design of their object and also discover opportunities that they did not imagine.
The team also provides support for electronic design, mechanical design and embedded programming (microcontroller).
The MASTIC fablab has a specialty around the fields of robotics, disability, home automation and connected objects (IOT). However, it is open to all fields present in the university.
Public
Anyone from the university community, students and staff.
Schedule
The platform is open from 9am-11:30am and 1:30pm-5pm. However, the fablab may be closed for various reasons such as workshops or classes. Access is therefore preferably by appointment. Except on Thursday afternoons which are dedicated to personal projects (see FabBidouille).

FabRepair and FabBidouille
Students and university staff can come to the fablab on Thursday afternoons (12pm-5pm) to carry out personal projects. After validation of your project by the managers, you will be supported in order to carry it out. Everyone can use the fablab, there are no technical prerequisites to have. Repair projects or projects around disability take priority over other projects.
FabRepair
If you do not feel like repairing your equipment yourself (even with our support), do not hesitate to come, you will surely find people to try to repair it.
Machines
It is possible to reserve machines when the project has been qualified by the fablab managers.
